Savage Ecstasy

There isn't an inch of you that I didn't taste --
from the base of your throat to the curve of your waist
to the backs of your knees to your blue toenails.
And when I finally tasted the already damp petals of your womanhood,
you dangled your fingers on my head and arched your hips
as the tremors of ecstasy shook your body.
I felt each spasm as acutely as if you were connected to me.
As our bodies moved together I was rocked to my very soul
at the intensity of the feelings that swept through me --
feelings that were by turns shaky, sure, gentle, savage, generous, greedy.
With the last shreds of my self-control,
I held on until I felt more tremors shake your body.
Then I plunged deep and buried my face in your neck.
"Oh God," I groaned over and over as the lightning bolts
of fulfillment shot through me.
And as we clung together in the midst of spiraling fireworks,
we found words welling up from inside --
words we didn't know had been lying in wait.
"I love you, baby. I love you."
